Gas company Source Petroleum Inc. said Tuesday its joint venture partner drilled a successful exploration well in Woking, Alberta and ended an extended production test on the well.
The well is expected to take between 6 to 8 weeks to tie in, and production is estimated at an initial restricted rate of 500 to 1000 mcf/day, or 1,000 cubic feet a day.
Source Petroleum has a 37.5 percent stake in the well.
