Construction at Cameco Uranium Mine Delayed at Least a Year After Rock Slide

Kazakhmys says 2006 copper cathode output up 5pct

Kazakhmys, the world’s 10th largest copper miner, said on Tuesday copper cathode production rose 5 percent in 2006.
Copper cathode production from its own concentration rose by 9 percent thanks to higher production from its recently commissioned Artemyevskoe, Zhomart and Kosmurun mines, the company said in a statement.
