Churchill lifts coal reserve target
May 27, 2008 - Posted in Coal MiningIndonesian coal miner Churchill Mining has lifted its overall initial coal reserve target by 50% to 150m tonnes at its East Kutai Coal Project (EKCP).
A review of the total initial coal resource target is also being conducted and Churchill will advise the market of the result in due course, it said.
“Churchill is still ahead of schedule and ahead of budget in its exploration programme,” said managing director Paul G. Mazak.
“The company is very focused on getting to a mining reserve as quickly as possible so that we can move to mine construction and production,” he added.
