Alcan Names Jeffrey Garten to the Board of Directors, Effective Feb. 1

Canadian aluminum producer Alcan Inc. said Monday it named Jeffrey E. Garten a director of the company, effective Feb. 1.
Garten, 60, is a professor of international trade, finance and business at the Yale School of Management and chairman of the Garten Rothkopf consulting firm, which he founded in October 2005.
